Celebrating Pumpkin Season at Trader Joe's

Celebrating Pumpkin Season at Trader Joe's

It's that time of the year when weather gets a little chilly, Halloween stores are in business, and Trader Joe's puts out all things pumpkin.

Since I went a little crazy at Trader Joe's buying all these seasonal items, I wanted to share my thoughts on the ones I've tried so far.

Pumpkin Macarons:  These should really be called Mini Pumpkin Macarons.  I was surprised at how small they are. Lightly flavored with pumpkin, the texture was nice.  I was hoping for a little more flavor of pumpkin. 3.5/5

Pumpkin Mochi Ice Cream:  Surprisingly good!  Not too sweet, and the mochi is nice and chewy. 4.5/5

Country Pumpkin Spice Granola Cereal:  I don't eat cereal, but this was great as a topping on greek yogurt.  3/5

Pumpkin Seed Brittle: Strangely addicting.  Initially there is a nice flavor of pumpkin, and as the brittle melts, you taste the rich caramelized sugar. 4/5

Pumpkin Spice Salted Caramels:  My least favorite item.  It could be due to the fact that I'm not a dark chocolate fan, but these were just not that great.  I wouldn't get these again. 1/5

Pumpkin Cranberry Crisps:  Tastes just like you'd imagine with cranberry mixed into the little crisps.  Tastes good with a dip or on its own.  3.5/5

Mini pumpkin pies:  Good!  I thought they were the perfect size, and I loved the pumpkin filling in the middle.  Not too sweet.  Although it was a little too crumbly, I give this 5/5, just because I liked the filling so much.

The most popular item at Trader Joe's is Pumpkin Bread & Muffin Mix, which I used the other day.  I can see why.  Moist and flavorful. 4/5

There are still more pumpkin related products at Trader Joe's, but these are the ones I have tried so far.  Not pictured is the pumpkin soup that is pretty good, although I add some sausage and spinach to make it heartier.

My reviews could be very different from yours since we all have different palates and preferences... I'd love to hear which one is your favorite.  Let me know what I should be trying next!
